Everything you need to know about working as a FixMyGadgets partner
Getting Started
Click "Become a Partner" on our website, fill out the application form with your details and repair expertise, and submit. Our team will review your application and contact you for verification.
You need to be a skilled technician with experience in your chosen repair category, have valid ID proof, and pass our skill assessment. A smartphone for using our partner app is also required.
New partners receive ₹3,000 onboarding credit in their wallet. This credit can be used to accept jobs without upfront payment until the credit is exhausted.
The approval process typically takes 2-3 business days. This includes document verification and skill assessment. You will receive updates via SMS and email.
No, there is no registration fee to become a FixMyGadgets partner. We only charge assignment fees when you accept and complete jobs.
Finding Jobs
Repair requests are broadcast to all eligible partners in the customer's pincode area. You will receive push notifications on your phone when new jobs matching your skills are available.
Jobs are broadcast to partners serving the customer's pincode. You can configure which pincodes you serve in your Business Profile.
We use a first-come-first-serve (FCFS) system. When a repair request comes in, all eligible partners receive the notification. The first partner to accept gets the job.
Check that: 1) Push notifications are enabled, 2) Your service areas include the customer's location, 3) Your device categories match the repair type, 4) Your availability is set to "Available", and 5) Your wallet has sufficient balance.
Accepting Jobs
Assignment fees are charged when you accept a job. They vary by device category: Mobile ₹50, Laptop ₹150, AC ₹200. Other appliances have varying fees. The fee is deducted from your wallet.
You can cancel before starting the journey to the customer. Frequent cancellations may affect your ratings. Assignment fees are not refunded for cancellations.
You can see the device category, problem description, customer location (general area, not exact address), and preferred time slot before accepting.
Jobs are assigned first-come-first-serve, so quick response is important. A job notification expires if not accepted within a few minutes.
Payments & Wallet
Your wallet is used to pay assignment fees when accepting jobs. You earn money from customers for repairs. Keep your wallet funded to accept jobs without interruption.
Go to your Wallet section in the partner dashboard, click "Add Funds", and pay via UPI, debit card, or net banking. Funds are added instantly.
Customers pay you directly after the repair is completed. You collect payment via cash, UPI, or other methods. This is separate from the platform wallet.
If your wallet balance is less than the assignment fee for a job, you will not be able to accept that job. Maintain sufficient balance to avoid missing opportunities.
Business Profile
In your Business Profile, go to Service Areas and add the pincodes you want to serve. You will only receive job notifications for these areas.
Toggle your availability status in the partner app. Set to "Available" when you can accept jobs and "Unavailable" when you are busy or taking a break.
Go to Business Profile > Skills and request to add new categories. Some categories may require a skill verification before activation.
Customers can rate and review you after each job. Your average rating is displayed on your profile. High ratings lead to more trust and potentially more jobs.
Support
Contact partner support via the app or call the partner helpline. Provide job details and describe the issue. Our team will investigate and mediate.
If you cannot reach the customer at the scheduled time, try contacting them via the app. If unsuccessful, mark it in the app and contact support. The job may be cancelled without penalty.
